The only trip by Bluewater ferry I had was smooth and uneventful. I was concern about the reliability of the connection but I was lucky everything went well. The ride was quite quick. The ferry from ABC Tioman left 15 minutes before the time I expected it to leave, according to the the info on a ticket I booked. Luckily I was at the harbor earlier, so I can't complain. Had I however aim closer to the scheduled time, I would be unpleasantly surprised that the boat had left already.
The only understandable thing was that on arrival passengers were kept for over half an hour in the boat before we could disembark, without any word of explanation.
The ferry staff were very friendly, the air conditioning in the cabin was sufficient, and the voyage was smooth. The downsides were that the Mersing terminal facilities were basic, it was very hot on sunny days, and there wasn't enough room for all passengers to shelter from the rain. Furthermore, the ferry departure time was delayed; some passengers were even boarding after the scheduled time, causing a 20-minute delay from Mersing terminal, which seriously affected the rights of passengers who wanted to board on time.
