During this Chinese New Year break, I decided to have a quick getaway before returning to work. I decided to go to a famous tourist hot spot in Kota Tinggi district in Malaysia, Desaru, because it is not too far away from Singapore.
It’s a good idea to prepare everything before your trip because it can be difficult to know how to get around in an unfamiliar place. Therefore, I booked my ferry ticket from a secure ticketing portal BusOnlineTicket.com before departure. Below is the summary of my trip:
1. | Check-in at Limbongan Maju counter at Changi Ferry Terminal |
2. | Immigration Clearance and Board the Ferry |
3. | Ferry from Changi Ferry Terminal to Tanjung Belungkor Ferry Terminal |
4. | Arrival in Tanjung Belungkor Ferry Terminal |

Things to Do in Desaru
I took a 30 minutes taxi ride from Tanjung Belungkor Ferry Terminal to Desaru Beach, one of the famous tourist spots in Malaysia. In Desaru Beach, I took a banana boat ride. It was so exciting!
After that, I went to Desaru Ostrich Farm to visit the world’s largest bird for a closer look. Please note that the entrance fee for Desaru Ostrich Farm is RM15.00.
Before dinner, I went to Batu Layar Beach, a place dramatically decorated by nature with dark sharp rocks.
I had my dinner at a seafood restaurant in town area, Sungai Rengit. The seafood in Sungai Rengit was quite cheap and delicious!
Desaru was a really good place for a short weekend getaway. The picturesque view and the heavenly seafood that I enjoyed in Desaru totally healed and awaken my energy. By the end of the trip, I felt high-spirited and was looking forward to do better with my work. I definitely will come back to Desaru again with my friends and family. Moreover, booking ferry tickets online at BusOnlineTicket.com made the journey so much easier.
