For those stuck in hometowns and unable to leave when the movement control order was implemented, you can now apply for interstate travel via Gerak Malaysia App (Android / IOS).


With Nationwide Movement Restriction announcement by Malaysia Prime Minister on 16th March 2020, we understand that you may have concerns regarding your travel plans and wish to reschedule or cancel your bookings.

As the number of positive cases increased, Malaysia and Singapore have been rolling out more measures to curb the further spread of COVID-19.

  • Malaysia’s MCO, was scheduled between 18 March and 31 March.
  • On 25 March, Malaysia’s government extended the MCO until 14 April.
  • On 10 April, Malaysia’s government extended the MCO until 28 April.
  • On 23 April, Malaysia’s movement control order (MCO) has once again been extended by another 14 days, until 12 May.
  • On 10 May, Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) was announced and is expected to end on 9 June.
  • Singapore’s Circuit Breaker was announced on 7 April and was expected to end on 4 May.
  • On 21 April, Singapore’s government extended its COVID-19 “circuit breaker” period by four weeks until 1 June.

We are working closely with the operators or service providers to secure free cancellation or reschedule fee where possible. You may check the reschedule or refund policy below by several bus operators. Note that these policies by the operators are only applicable for the trip with departure date from 18 March – 12 May 2020 (Malaysia) / 18 March – 31 May 2020 (Singapore) only.

A gentle reminder for those who need to travel interstate during Movement Control Order (MCO) period are required to have prior written permission of a police station chief. You might need to present the travel document to a police officer or person-in-charge to enter a terminal or board the bus. Please note that many terminals and operators have stopped their operation during this period in compliance with the government’s order so check the details carefully.
