Good morning Tioman Island! Time flies, we had to leave this beautiful island after a two days journey. So, I will share my travel experience on how I travel from Tioman Island to Kuala Lumpur via Tanjung Gemok Jetty. As I mentioned in my previous article, we already purchased the return ferry ticket from Tioman Island to Tanjung Gemok Jetty. As for the bus tickets from Tanjung Gemok Jetty to Kuala Lumpur, my boyfriend had purchased it at BusOnlineTicket.com. So, what we had to do was just to enjoy our last day in Tioman Island.
Before we left, we had our breakfast at Paya Beach Resort.
After breakfast, we returned back to our room to pack our luggage and check-out at 8:30am. Along the way to jetty, we also enjoyed the scenery of Tioman Island, how peaceful the place was.
While waiting for the ferry to Tanjung Gemok Jetty, we also saw many fishes swimming in the sea. What a wonderful thing if we can swim freely in the sea like a fish.
Ferry from Tioman Island to Tanjung Gemok Jetty
Once the ferry arrived, all the passengers lined up to board the ferry. The ferry stopped by the Kampung Genting Pilau Jetty before heading to Tanjung Gemok Jetty. When all the passengers from Kampung Genting Pilau Jetty had boarded the ferry, the staff started to check our ferry tickets.
Note: If you lost your return ticket or did not buy the return ticket, you still can purchase from the staff when you are in the ferry with the same price as the counter price.
After two hours of the sea journey, finally we arrived at Tanjung Gemok Jetty.
Bus from Tanjung Gemok to Kuala Lumpur
By the time we arrived to Tanjung Gemok Jetty, there was a staff from Sanwa Tour waiting at entrance to guide their customers to the bus. However, the returned bus that we booked is Sepakat Liner. The pick-up point of Sepakat Liner bus was at the Restaurant Mutiara Biru Bayu, located 2-minutes away from the Tanjung Gemok Jetty. Restaurant Mutiara Biru Bayu was just next to Hotel Jeti Tanjung Gemok and we found the pick-up point easily.
The departure time for our bus was at 2:00pm, so we had plenty of time to have our lunch before our journey back to Kuala Lumpur. While waiting for the bus, we also had our lunch at Restaurant Mutiara Biru Bayu. There were also a mamak stall and a fast food restaurant next to the restaurant if you are looking for other options for your lunch.
When reaching the departure time, the bus arrived. We showed our booking confirmation to the driver to confirm our trip. After the verification, we found our seat and took a nap in the bus.
The bus of Sepakat Liner was equipped with air-conditioning and the seat was arranged as 2 x 1 per row. The seat was also adjustable and spacious enough for leg activities.
Arrival at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS)
Finally we reached Kuala Lumpur after a long journey. The bus from Tanjung Gemok to Kuala Lumpur terminated at Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). It was a convenient location as it was linked to many public transportation like LRT, KTM, KLIA Transit, bus and taxi. After we got off, we carried our luggage and went home by taking the train at the nearest LRT Station - Bandar Tasik Selatan Station.
