Time to Go Home
Last week, I had a wonderful vacation in Hat Yai. I travelled by ETS train from KL to Padang Besar and took the SRT train to Hat Yai from Padang Besar. Then, when it was time to go home, I decided to go back by train as well. After finishing the train trip from Hat Yai to Padang Besar, I took ETS train from Padang Besar to KL.
As usual, I booked my ETS train ticket online with BusOnlineTicket.com. I chose to take the ETS Platinum train from Padang Besar to KL. ETS Platinum train took shorter time to reach KL because the train only stopped at certain train station in important town and cities.
Get to Padang Besar Malaysia Train Station
The SRT train stopped in Padang Besar Malaysia train station. Once I reach the train station, I proceeded to the customs and immigration counter. After the immigration process, I went to the KTM counter to check in.
I brought the printed PDF ticket sent to my email by BusOnlineTicket.com. According to the counter staff, passengers with the printed PDF ticket does not need to exchange the paper with real ticket.
Waiting Area
If you reach the station early, they would advise you to wait at the waiting area located on the first floor. As your train approaches the station, the staff will guide you to the platform for boarding.
Board the ETS Train
In order to board the train, we had to walk to the platform. The distance from the waiting area to the platform was not too far away.
There were in total two different destinations available at the same departure time. One was about to go Thailand and another one was to go Malaysia. Before boarding, I had to present my ticket to the staff in order to make sure I board the right train.
Condition of the ETS Train
The ETS train condition was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Most of the seats are equipped with a small table; either pre-installed or you have to set it up from the seat in front of you.
There were also luggage compartments in every coach or carriage. You can also find toilets on board in coach B and E.
ETS Platinum train ticket came with complimentary snacks too. The staffs distributed packaging, which contained biscuits and tissue to all passengers. You can also buy food from their F&B Bar in coach C.
Arriving at KL Sentral
Hooray! I finally reached my destination! The journey took me about 5 hours to arrive at KL Sentral. Before getting off the train, I sat comfortably and waited for the train to stop completely at the arrival platform in KL Sentral.
Tips: Since this is a long-distance train journey from Padang Besar to Kuala Lumpur, passengers are advised to bring your coat, jacket, or scarf with you to prevent you from getting cold from the air conditioner.
Now, everyone can book their train tickets online to travel between Padang Besar and KL. Booking your train tickets online is so convenient and hassle-free.
