Discovery Tours and Travel is the long serving operator who provides transportation service from Singapore to Mersing / Tioman Island since years back. They offer coach only service to Mersing and Tanjung Gemok, as well as coach and ferry service to Tioman Island. For its Singapore departure point, it is centrally located at Galleria DFS entrance, Scotts Road (Orchard). Bus departs daily sharp at 6.40 am, unless otherwise specified. The arrival time at Mersing jetty is estimated at 11.00 am before reaching Tanjung Gemok jetty at about 11.30am
As for the coach and ferry service, passengers from Singapore will arrive at Tanjung Gemok, before transferring to ferry to Tioman Island. The drop off points in Tioman Island are Kampung Genting Jetty, Kampung Paya Jetty, Tekek Jetty, Kampung Air Batang Jetty, Panuba Bay Jetty and Kampung Salang Jetty. Visitors are advised to check with respective resort for the nearest jetty drop off point. Please note that ferry departure timing are subjected to daily weather and tide condition at Tanjong Gemok.
