Taiping is situated in the stated of Perak and it is the second largest town in Perak after Ipoh. During the early years, Taiping was mainly for mining activities but now the mining pools have been converted to a beautiful lake called Taiping Lake Garden.
Beside this, Taiping is also famous for its Taiping Zoo, where it is the first Zoo in Malaysia. Another attraction will be the hill resort (Maxwell Hill).
A must visit place is the Burmese Pool, it is a good place for you to relax and have to soak yourself in the cold water
